The Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking community input to help shape the future of regional transportation by taking a survey for Phase 2 of its 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).

The LRTP, "Invest Today, Transform Tomorrow," is a comprehensive blueprint that guides transportation investments and projects over the next 25 years. The Phase 2 Survey will gather feedback on the types of transportation projects and investments residents would like to see in Sarasota and Manatee counties. The survey is available in both English and Spanish.

The vision, "Creating a Balanced Future," reflects a community desire for a transportation system that preserves environmental health, creates vibrant places, and promotes economic diversity.

"Community participation is more important than ever," said David Hutchinson, executive director of Sarasota/Manatee MPO. "We're diving deep into evaluating our current transportation system and identifying strategies to turn the vision into reality."
